Information Glossary

This glossary defines key terms used throughout the Xyvezoqral website and in the context of the service itself. The definitions are specific to how these terms are used within the Xyvezoqral context and may differ from definitions used elsewhere.

Classification Concepts

Terms Related to How Information Is Organised

Category
A named group into which information items are placed. Categories are the primary structural unit of the Xyvezoqral classification system. Each category has a defined name and may include descriptions or rules that guide which items should be assigned to it.
Item
A single record within the Xyvezoqral system. An item has a set of fields, each with a value, and is assigned to one or more categories. Items are the fundamental units of content that the system organises and presents for review.
Classification
The act of assigning an item to a category. Classification can be performed manually by a user or assisted by the system based on the item's field values. The classification of an item determines where it appears in the review interface.
Tag
A short descriptive label applied to an item in addition to its category assignment. Tags are used for cross-referencing and grouping items by characteristics that do not map to the primary category structure. An item can have multiple tags.
Field
A named attribute of an information item. Each field stores a specific piece of information — for example, a date, a title, a status indicator, or a descriptive note. The set of fields available for any item is determined by the structure configured for that item type.
Item Type
A template or schema that defines the fields available for a group of items. Items of the same type share the same field structure, which ensures that they can be compared and reviewed consistently within a category view.
Interface Terminology

Terms Used in the Review Interface

Category View
A page within the review interface that displays all items assigned to a specific category. Items are shown in a list layout with selected field values visible at a glance. Users can apply filters and sorting within this view.
Detail Panel
The expanded view of a single item, showing all available fields and their values. The detail panel is accessed by selecting an item from a category view. It also provides access to the item's audit trail and tag list.
Filter
A control that restricts the items visible in a category view based on specified criteria. Filters operate on field values or tags and reduce the displayed set without permanently removing items from the category.
Sort Order
The sequence in which items are listed within a category view. Sort order can typically be adjusted by selecting a field name as the sort key. Both ascending and descending orders are supported where applicable.
Audit Trail
A record associated with an item that lists the changes applied to it over time. Each entry in the audit trail records what changed, and when the change occurred. The audit trail supports accountability and enables historical review of item states.
Navigation Panel
The sidebar or header element within the review interface that lists available categories and provides links to move between them. The navigation panel also surfaces contextual links to related sections based on the user's current location in the interface.
Access and Enquiry Terms

Terms Related to the Access Process

Enquiry
A message submitted to the Xyvezoqral support team via the contact form. An enquiry may ask for service information, request access to the platform, or raise a general question. The enquiry is the starting point for all formal contact with the team.
Access Request
A type of enquiry in which the submitter is asking to be granted access to the Xyvezoqral service or to a specific information set within it. Access requests are reviewed by the support team, who may request additional context before responding.
Support Team
The Xyvezoqral staff responsible for reviewing enquiries, responding to access requests, and providing general assistance related to the service. The team can be reached at [email protected] or via the enquiry form.
Request Type
A category applied to an enquiry at the time of submission. The request type helps the support team direct the enquiry to the appropriate person or process. Options include Access Request, Service Information, Technical Question, General Enquiry, and Other.
